We are hoping to launch a Khatib Vale Community Gardening Club. Our aim is to beautify our neighbourhood by creating a theme garden throughout our neighbourhood. We will work with the relevant authority to make this happen, and we need your help to make it a reality.
*
Our Community Gardening Club is a fantastic way to build connections with your neighbours, promote healthy living, and create a more beautiful and sustainable neighbourhood. We plan to plant a variety of plants, flowers, and vegetables to create a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.
*
We use to have a community garden located just behind our Residents’ Committee office but it is now abandoned. We intend to use it as a composting site for sustainable gardening. Composting is an essential part of sustainable gardening, and it helps to reduce waste and create healthy soil for plants.
*
Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting, everyone is welcome to join our club. By becoming a member, you will have the opportunity to learn new gardening skills, meet new people, and contribute to the beautification of our neighbourhood.

Join our Community Gardening Club and Help Beautify Our Neighbourhood

If you’re interested in joining our Community Gardening Club, please join the Khatib Vale Neighbours’ Network and let us know your interest in the Community Gardening Club. Drop us a comment. We can’t wait to see you!

We are planning an impromptu visit to Ground-Up Initiative this Sunday, 9th April 2023. They run a farm located just behind Orto Yishun. We will gather at the pavilion beside our RC Centre between 8:45am and 9:00am. Bring your cap and water bottle as we will be walking there.
You can visit their website groundupinitiative.org to find out more about them.
Please join us with your family. We will be looking out for ideas for a proposal to revive the community garden behind the RC Centre into a community farm. This is a follow-up initiative to the visit to 10 Winstedt Road.
Thank you and see you this Sunday morning.
Best regards,
William Teo
