Khatib Vale
Neighbours’ Network
bringing neighbours closer and together doing good for the community.
This is an informal network for residents by residents.
This is an informal network for residents by residents.
Khatib Vale is a neighbourhood located in Yishun, Singapore, consisting of 27 blocks of HDB flats bounded by Yishun Ave 2, Yishun Ave 3 and Yishun Ring Road.
We aim to build communities within our neighbourhood.
We are a community network supported by Zone ‘B’ RN. The aim is to transform neighbours into friends, regardless of ages and nationalities or whether we own our flats or are renting. By getting to know one another, we hope to re-create the real kampong spirit of the old. Neighbours watching out for each other and pitching in to improve the quality of our physical environment.

In order to accomplish our objectives, we will be introducing a variety of activities, such as establishing clubs for sports, games and other shared interests. These clubs will provide residents will have a platform to connect with like-minded individuals and explore their passions.
*
We will also reach out and connect with vulnerable individuals in the community. These outreach efforts will promote inclusivity and reduce social isolation, fostering a more cohesive community.
*
To prevent neighbourly disputes from escalating, our proposal also includes developing conflict resolution mechanisms. These mechanisms will enable parties to resolve conflicts amicably and prevent them from causing harm to individuals and the community.
*
We can serve as a platform for engaging in dialogue with the authorities, allowing residents to provide feedback and suggestions for improving the estate. This will empower residents to have their voices heard and contribute to the creation of a better living environment.
